Saint Helen Church Faith Formation Children's Ministry
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The goal of this Montessori-based program is to help children ages 3 to 6 enjoy and be in love with God, first proclaimed as Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
Children will hear the Gospel by working with sensory rich, but simple materials, centered on scriptural or liturgical themes.
Central to catechesis is the atrium, a sacred space prepared for the children. A place of beauty, the atrium is designed for being with and enjoying God, listening to God’s word, and praying.
St. Helen’s atrium is located at the south eastern end of the hall in the second story of St. Helen School (next to the teacher’s lounge).
Mighty Monday Sessions
All children ages 5 to 13 are invited to attend Mighty Mondays.
These sessions are designed to provide high-energy faith-building activities involving movement, games, skits, and songs.
General Sessions
All children ages 7 to 13 are invited to attend general faith formation sessions.
These sessions are designed to provide a structured and in-depth look at the Catholic Faith and the Gospel.
Our dedicated and knowledgeable teachers are well prepared to engage students in scripture as well as explore other aspects of the faith.
